Lodging information

All AAC08 sessions will be held at the Chaminade Conference Center in Santa Cruz, California. The hotel has guaranteed a block of rooms for the workshop with a reservation deadline of June 13, 2008.  Reservations are now available. After receiving your invitation, you may use the online link sent to you in your invitation to register for the hotel or to download and fill out a reservation form. Please make your reservation directly with the hotel before the deadline and refer to the “AAC08 Room Block". You may cancel your reservation through June 9; after this, all fees will be forfeited.

All guests are required to provide credit card information to guarantee room reservations.

Update: For participants not staying at the Chaminade, the day rate has been waived, but you will be responsible for purchasing your own meals.

SPECIAL NOTE: The Chaminade will bill attendees directly based on the official daily CONUS (CONtinental US) conference rate for Santa Cruz for lodging and meals (plus 8% tax and 10% occupancy tax). The current CONUS rates are $134.00 for lodging and $54.00 for meals. Please note that rates may be slightly different at the time of the workshop, and may be slightly above the CONUS rate. The present Chaminade breakdown of single occupancy costs are: Lodging $152, meals $54, tax and service $33.14, for a total of $239.14. Reduced double occupancy rates for workshop attendees and guests are also available.

The workshop organizers recommend renting a car.  However, transportation to and from both San Francisco and San Jose International Airports can also be arranged through the Chaminade on-site transportation coordinator. Rates run from $90 per person each way from San Jose International and $120.00 per person each way from San Francisco International. Special discounted group rates of $25.00 per person each way are available from San Jose International Airport based on 4 or more attendees arriving and departing at coinciding times within the same airport terminal. Please contact the Chaminade for more information.
